My Favorite New Photo book
« on: May 26, 2010, 12:29:29 am »

I recently went to Big Bear to watch the tour of california and visit the Gallery of the American Landscape.  I have to say the photography exhibited by Tim Wolcott was by far the best I have ever seen.

Living in Los Angeles, I see practically every photography exhibit shown.  The images were amazing and printed like no others I have seen before, but I think its the way he shoots.  I now have a new fav photography book.

Its Called "Along the Water's Edge"  Forward by our leader Michael Reichmann.  If you have not seen this book, you must see how elegant he shoots his landscapes.  I'm posting the book cover so you all can see it.

Thanks Jamie, did I speak with you.  I was very busy at the bike race.  By the way did my sales people tell you that the book was printed green and maybe the first very high quality book printed at a very low price.

I managed to work with the printer to devise a way that all photographers could make a very very high quality fine at photography book at a low price.  For those who have not ordered the book it was printed traditionally.

I will be doing a workshop in L.A. for photographers who want to know how to make a book this way.  I'm not really a fan of print on demand books the color and printing, binding are not acceptable for fine art.

One cannot sacrifice there image or identity on mediocrity.  Tim
