Shopping for general purpose dslr. Just axe'd C. 300d Rebel from my short list. Moving to C. 10D or Nikon D100.

Major quandry is low light sensitivity issue, now. Can the difference make or break a trip to eBay auctions for a guy who sees daylight through a window 70% of the week? ...Thanks for any help.

Did you axe the 300D from contention because of inadequate light sensitivity or for other reasons? (e.g. lack of mirror lock up)

My understanding is that the 10D and the 300D use the same imaging chip/processing logic so light sensitivity and noise should be the same between the models.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a better technology for low light work than the 10D/300D sensor.

I have a buddy that recently acquired a 300D and we spent quite a few hours on a recent trip to Adelaide doing existing light night photography and the results were very good.
