I see that V6.2 is now available for both Mac and PC
I've been using the Mac version for a couple of weeks and am finding that the noise handling and detail retention are quite good. In particular I was reprocessing some 1Ds images taken at its highest 1250 ISO and the improvement is very noticeable. My feeling is that I'll still be using it more for individual large prints, rather than my day to day commercial work.
The interface at last feels a bit more Mac like (well, the Mac version that is ;-) )
I'm hoping to get a more detailed review together in a couple of weeks, particularly since I'm about to get PS CS5 and I'm keen to see how it handles certain images, given the developments in ACR.
I've one quick example of a 1Ds file processed in DxO and ACR4 up at
http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/stuff/?p=479I had to make a print from it the other day and thought I'd re-process the 2006 file to see what was better...
I've still got the RAW files I tested DxO RAW processing with when it first appeared, so it'll be interesting to see how things have changed. In particular, one sunset image that has always in the past been noticeably better in DxO.
