How do you focus your Canon 1Ds?
« on: August 23, 2003, 06:41:31 am »

I have had my Canon 1Ds for 3 months now and am still learning the meaning of all these little buttons, menus and knobs.

One thing that still has me somewhat baffled is how to make autofocus work correcty .

How do you have the autofocus functions set on your Canon 1D/1Ds and why?

 Speciically:
- How many AF points? (Custom Function 13)

- What the heck is C.Fn-10 : AF Point Illumination?

- How do you set C.Fn-11 : AF Point Selection Method ?

- Is C.Fn-17 : AF point activation area mostly of value if shooting in Servo Mode?

Thanks for any help you can give me on this!

I migrated over from a Nikon D1X. For the Nikon Users there was Thom Hogan to make sense of all this. I guess there is no one that writes like he does for Canon cameras?
