Virtual viewpoint photography

The wall/building is red,
the ground is brown
The virtual FOV is between the brown and black lines
The blue lines are the centre-lines of the views
The actual FOV of the various stitches (plus overlap) are the green lines

For the virtual distance to be double the actual distance, you need a tripod about half the height of the building.

The rear standard stays vertical, lens horizontal, view adjusted by rise/fall

Best to do one stitch row per floor, then the parallax looks OK on the windows.

You still need as wide (or wider) lens as you would have needed from the virtual viewpoint.

You need lots of rise/fall ¿Sinar P2/P?

I have not tried this, but in theory, I cannot see why it will not work...

It is all rectilinear, so it will not be complicated for the software to stitch.

It gets a bit more complicated with perspective views, but you just keep the angle (= sensor to building) the same.

At the moment, my largest tripod id 10m (Manfrotto Agnoscope), but I plan to mount it on a 12m cherry picker.

Do you have an example to share?

I have concluded that the way to make money out of photography is to specialize in the type of work that the average amateur cannot tackle.
