In contrast to Timo's recently-posted beautiful and peaceful lake shots, here are three taken a couple of weeks ago in Cape Town. There was a slight breeze. Comments welcome.

Nice shots, Jeremy. Years ago I used to try to shoot raging surf a lot, but the photos I got always made the waves look tiny compared with the real thing. So I gave up on them.

Jeremy,
Very pleasing images and my favourite is #2 because, for me, it really incarnates Rage!

Thanks Jeremy. I love the second image because the sense of 'rage' and surging portrayed by the wave for me is very powerful.

Another vote for #2!  The other two are good, but the middle one is very powerful.

Nice shots.  For me, the 1st one is the most powerful, giving an idea of the scale of the white water.  In addition, the composition is tight, with everything supporting the ferocity of the breaking wave.

#2 seems to be the most distinctive for me.  I really like the isolation of the wave and the localized intensity.   The rearing form makes for a very nice composition.
