blog servers
« on: April 16, 2010, 09:03:48 pm »

I once tried keeping up with a blog but lost interest partly due the server I was using.  I am now seeing a great advantage to having a blog especially since I am now incorporating Twitter into my marketing plan.

Just wondering if any of you have any suggestions of which company to use?
Are the free ones worth it or is it more professional to use a paid server?
Also, are there any that allow videos to be posted as well as photos?

I dig WordPress, and while you can sign up for an account on their site, it's not too tough to host on your own site.  I post a pile of photos and some video to my blog.  The other real contender is Blogger.  I'm not real familiar with all the technical stuff, mine was easy enough to setup, had my web designer skin a theme for it and posting/editing is easy peasy.

Here, of course...

+1 Wordpress

It runs captureintegration.com and doug-peterson.com the two sites I maintain.
