LCD Hood

I recently bought a little hood for my LCD from Hoodman.  Shooting in that certain light where the LCD goes away, the hood does a wonderful job.  When not in use, it goes flat into a pocket.

Hoodman also sells those marvelous little LCD screen protectors.  Good stuff.
