« on: March 30, 2010, 12:23:37 pm »

Hi,
I have some (20) A3+ sheets of Epson Archivial matte and eavy weight matte paper, can i use them on my canon 9500 pro mkII printer?
If Yes: with what settings/profile?
Thankyou a lot

Why not? - I use. But Canon's canned profiles are not suitable for Epson papers, it's recommended to use custom made profiles - I have built some with the i1Pro spectro and ProfileMaker 5.
About setting:
Epson Archival Matte Paper
1. Media type setting: Matte Photo Paper. -> Gamut volume is 405,000 dE^3 (calculated by GamutVision application) and black L*=23
2. Media type setting: Fine Art Premium Matte. -> Gamut volume is 467,000 dE^3 and black L*=17

Epson Matte Paper - Heavyweight
1. Media type setting: Matte Photo Paper. -> Gamut volume is 388,000 dE^3 and black L*=24
2. Media type setting: Fine Art Premium Matte. -> Gamut volume is 450,000 dE^3 and black L*=17

But using "Fine Art Premium Matte" media type setting has the drawback, read http://luminous-landscape.com/forum/index....st&p=352554
