One very important thing to think about is that Hasselblad doesn't offer trade up or trade in strategies for the H3dII 31, so they probably also won't offer one for the H4D40, H5DXX or the H6DYZ.
Actually, Hasselblad does offer trade-in's for the H4D-50, H4D-50MS and H4D-60 for any V-system or H-system owner and a digital back. In addition, non-Hasselblad bodies are eligible as well. Check with your local Hasselblad reseller for details.
Historically, we can solve the trade-in challenge for the H4D-40 (or others not listed) by finding a buyer for your existing gear, sending it to Hasselblad for cleaning and minor repair, then delivering to the new owner as a service to both clients. Proceeds are used toward the new camera.
Anything is possible and there is a Hasselblad for every budget.
