Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but here it goes:

New imagesensor technology, according the article easier and cheaper to manufacturer and more sensitivity/efficiency, first commercial application nearby.

It's lead-sulfide particles suspended in a plastic layer. It looks like film. I know, let's call it "quantum film!" Yeah, that sounds like it will boost our stock price nicely!

No, wait, no-one uses film anymore. It had better be called a "sensor." Um, let's see, is it more than just a film? Where's the readout? Eh, no problem, we'll just throw in some vague language about our "sensor" and "super-dense high pixel-count" stuff, and people will presume we have an actual functioning digital camera chip! Cha-ching!!!

Oh, and besides the super-dense pixels? Oh, right, let's claim it's got four times better sensitivity (that is, if we actually had a chip it would... cross my heart!). Wow! As if CCD's, etc., don't already offer upwards of 90% quantum efficiency - heck, we'll get 360% efficiency! Wow, that's even better than perpetual motion!

Heck, let's just use it to replace silicon entirely! Before you know it, everyone will be dumping CMOS for our quantum stuff! Wow, another stock price boom on the way!!! This is a better scam, uh, I mean invention, than those "digital film" folks had! The suckers, uh, I mean investors, will be lining up! CHA-CHING!!!

Bottom line (my opinion)? Don't hold your breath, and especially don't invest in this company.
