Hi all,
I'm going down to Canberra in a couple of weeks where there is a major Impressionist Exhibition. Here in Oz its a great opportunity to see masterpeices without having to fly to Paris :-))
My question: How to take the best shots ? I'm guessing flash is a no no ....although I'm not certain of that. I would probably want shots of the paintings as well as some with my kids standing next to them...you get the idea.
I have a Canon 500D and 3 Canon lenses:
18 - 200mm f 3.5-5.6
50mm prime f1.8
10-22mm f3.5-4.5
Which of these would work the best if I only wanted to carry one in ?
If the answer is 'none' :-)) fair enough but what should I be looking to get - the lenses I've been looking for an excuse to buy are:
1. Sigma 30mm f1.4
2. Canon 17-55 f2.8
3. Canon 100mm f2 or 100mm f2.8 macro
My gut feeling is to use my existing 50mm for most shots and carry the 10-22 in my pocket for a couple of shots of the gallery. I don't know if 50mm on my 1.6 crop is going to be 'right' though
Im saving a few $$ by not having to fly to Paris :-)) so SWMBO might let me buy a new lens.
Thanks for your opinions !!
