Projecting live while you're shooting
« on: March 08, 2010, 05:29:02 pm »

I've wanted to do this for awhile and am having difficulties finding all the correct info.

Scenario Example:
Let's say I'm shooting Santa Claus photos for a private party. My subjects and gear will be stationary.
If I wanted to project on a wall the images that I was shooting live, what software would I need to get?
I want the ability to add a color treatment to the images before they are projected as well.
There can be some delay between the shooting and projector display, but not a lot.
I can be tethered,. Doesn't have to be wireless.
I own a HD Projector. I'm Mac based working out of Lightroom 2.

It seems like a need a third party app to even work tethered in Lightroom 2.

Does anyone have any experience with this scenario?

Thank you!

I was at a show yesterday and one of the demo's was doing just what you want.  Shooting and then showing the pics immediatly on screens.

The Big camera makers have wireless addon's   or you can use a WiFi SD card in the camera.  You then need the software to download from the camera. - I think this is usually camera specific and is part of the software the camera maker supplies (or sells)

Thanks Keith.

I've seen those wifi cards but don't know what they do.  I'll do some research.
I'm surprised that Lightroom isn't equipped to do that. I don't see it coming out in Lightroom 3 either.

lightroom is already equipped, shoot tethered, mirror your screen, done.
