I've taken order from this forum user, architecture photographer. We're interested in new canon TS lenses. So we make it.
It use prontor 3 professional shutter (no cocking), canon EF mounts, and revolving system. for contax 645 mounts.

Very simple. adjust aperture and switch cam (EOS->custom cam).

It's very useful to wideangle solutions. actually,  telephoto shot is not comfort...

I did many commercial interior shot with my 1st cam. (I have hassy HC35mm.)
When 24mm set over F8, It can cover very large Depth of Field. (1m ~ infinity)

doesn't using a 35mm lens negate the advantage of using a digital back ?

Same lens with both (custom body and eos5dmk2) image quality has a big difference. detail, sharpness, DR etc...

I think new canon TS lenses are equivalent to large format digital 24mm. 17mm is unique.

and apo digitar 24 has 60mm image circle, but new TS has 67.2mm and can shift/tilt.

so I prefer 24TS-2.

How big is the image circle of the 85L? Can you post sample pictures (preferably shot wide open) made with it?
PS: first two links don't work, by the way.

85L has about 55mm, so not covered.

but contax 85mm F1.4 covered 49mm x 37mm sensor. 2nd link has sample pictures of contax 85mm.

Thanks,
JK

same lens with both cam test shot.

please see pictures, enlarging 100%.

1 is same lens (35mm nikkor) and enlarging 100%
You can see not only detail (because of 21mpx vs 39mpx), but also more DR, less noises, etc.

2 is similar field of view (5dmk2 with 24mm and CF39 with 35mm)

3 is both enlarging 100% of picture 2

4 is 133% enlarging 5dmk2 files (picture 2) for same picture size.

As you can seen, image quailty has a difference.

I've owned 22mpx phase P25 and leaf 22, it has a difference to 35mm DSLR, too.
