Sharpening/resizing for websites
« on: March 04, 2010, 04:34:54 pm »

Hey I'd like to hear from different people who have websites about how they sharpen & resize images to post online. I've come across a variety of different methods, but advice on these forums has proved to be the most reliable. Mainly, I'm wondering if one applies sharpens before or after resizing, or both. I usually apply a 0 threshold unsharp mask to increase clarity before I resize an image and smart sharpen it after to account for softening during the reduction.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ish

There's been tons of discussion of this on this website in this Discussion Forum. Please, I suggest you do a search before starting a new topic asking people to repeat what they've already contributed - even quite recently.
