Mitch your urban images always speak to my environmental leanings...I see here how civilization is slowly creeping over our natural world.  This image has much to "say"...nicely done! Eleanor

Thanks for the feedback on this image. I really appreciate it.  Any feedback on this image too?

Shot it this last Sunday. It ain't Escalante - part of the urban stuff I've been slowly working on. I saw the image in my head a while back and have since have been back to the location a few times waiting for the light and weather to be right.

Thanks again for the help. - Mitch

Well said, Eleanor.

If it showed the foreground only, I wouldn't care for it. But the inclusion of your "magic" mountains and clouds (with the sunlit cloud mimicing the shape of the mountain with the brightest spot of sunlight on it), really makes it.

I agree with Eric. Another very fine shot. Reminds me  of my own Colorado Springs.

I can only add another vote in favour of this last image. Eleanor expressed my exact feeling.

Yes Mitch, you do have a magic camera , but more importantly you are a magical photographer who has an amazing eye and the committment to follow through with your vision.

These images bring another perspective to the Escalante area which I have not visited, but have been introduced to through a beautiful book, Escalante, The Best Kind of Nothing, by Chris Noble and Brook Williams.

In your last image I love the juxtaposition of the expanding civilisation encroaching into the natural world. I also love the quatity you have portrayed in the first image. Absolutely stunning as usual.

All four photographs are amazing; the light, the tones, the textures... they are so real and so magical at the same time!

I agree,
I saw his web site some time ago and it's one of the most singular and beautifull work with landscape that I saw for a long time.
I got it in favorite for enjoying and inspiration.
Great art.
