3800 driver issue
« on: February 11, 2010, 02:26:35 pm »

I've found that the Epson 3800 driver (on a Mac) doesn't seem to remember the presets I set up. It nearly always seems to revert to Premium Luster, for example, despite Premium Semigloss being chosen and saved as a preset. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,
Alex

Problem solved, I think. The presets seem to relate closely to the choices made in Page Setup, particularly with reference to the paper feeder used. In other words, choose your paper feed method (rear, auto sheet etc) and then go into the driver and make your preferred settings. Then Save As, including the feed option in the preset name, and the preset will then stick for all prints made using that feed system.
