This winter is unexpectedly cold. We were counting on the -generally speaking- very mild winters and some climate-change to warmer, but not this winter. It has been cold since the midst of december. Anyway, sometimes it gives some nice minimalistic imagery. This is about sunflowers in the north-eastern province of Drenthe: with 2.8 105 and moderate aperture. I overexposed about 1 stop.

That seems like a reasonable decision, but looks like the scene required at lest one more stop of overexposure. Predominantly white scenes (snow, sand, fog) tend to fool light meters into turning them into a mid-gray, for which they are calibrated by default.

Actually Europe is going to have chillier winters because the gulfstream is slowing down due to climate change.
