Printing Issue - Gray Fill in "Image Cell"
« on: February 08, 2010, 02:21:08 am »

Ran into an issue recently printing from Lightroom to my Epson R2400.  Any portion of the Lightroom "image cell" not filled by the image is printing as gray.  The screenshot attached is labeled to show the problem.  For example, let's say I want to print an uncropped 3:2 image on 13x19 paper, and I've input 1.25" margins all around.  The image does not fill the image cell horizontally, since the aspect ratio is different.  The empty space (in this case, to the left and right of the image) prints as gray, whereas (obviously) I'd like it paper white.

I don't remember this happening in the past.  It does not seem to matter whether I'm printing a DNG, a layered PSD, whether it's color or B&W.

Anyone run into this before and have a solution before I run out of paper trying to find one?

If it matters, I am using Lightroom LR 2.6 (opening in 64 bit mode), OS X 10.6.2, and an Epson R2400 printer using a profile made with ColorMunki.  All image colors look accurate.

Thanks,
Chris
