TV ads being shot with DSLR's?
« on: February 06, 2010, 12:42:53 pm »

I've noticed a fair number of ads on TV lately that look like they've been shot with a tilt/shift lens or maybe a Lensbaby. Anybody know if these are these being done with the video capabilities of a DSLR or with a t/s lens on a video camera?

Tilt/shift lenses and lens baby are available in movie camera lens mounts so these could just as easily be shot with a movie camera or digital movie camera as a DSLR.

the commercial for the kindle reader thingy(one with the girl singing) was shot on a 5dII.

but it wasn't video, just a succession of still frames(stop motion).
