I looked out my hotel window in Barcelona and this is what I saw across the street.

Cheers,

When I click on the link here, it works but obviously I've messed up - not surprising since this is the first time I've tried to upload an image. Sorry about that - will try again. Thanks for the interest.

Seamus

Very nice, shadows and all, which gives the image a lot of depth.

Very nice shot !
I'd like to see more of them under different lightning or weather conditions.
Should be fun  to explore this interesting motive, I believe.

For ChristopherC - This was taken a moment or two before the window cleaner fortunately put himself into the frame. When that happened, I changed position slightly to include the shadow on the bottom right in the first picture above. It seemed the right thing to do. My decisive moment anyway!! To me, there is an amazing difference between the two versions. What do others think?

Ooh! I like that one, too. It took me a little while to figure it out. Very nice abstract.

Seamus, That's a shot I ought to see in B&W magazine when they have their next single photo contest. Very good seeing!

Thank you very much for your generous comments.

Taking up the theme of abstracts, I spotted this  while standing in a bus queue in York St., Sydney, Australia. It's a building behind me, reflected in the windows of a building in front of me.

Seamus

You've got a fine series going. I hope you'll share more of them as you discover them.

Basically I like every of the images you posted here.

Concerning the first two I am happy you shared the second version.
It is much more orthogonal and IMO a strong image.
I believe a sort of combination between the first with the window washer
and the second with its much stricter lines would be a great thing to have.

Thanks for sharing
~Chris

You might call the series "Rhythm."

Continuing the theme of windows:
Manhatten Canyon (in which I was nearly run down trying to grab the shot in the middle of a hectic New York street!

Manhatten Canyon ....

I believe this is the type of image which needs a large format print to really work as intended,
because the relatively small figures at the bottom should be at recognizable size.
I like it.

I took the thread a bit late so I won't comment the first images (but I like them very much).
This last image from Manhattan is fantastic. It give a very good impression of the height of the buidings and contrast is perfectly controlled. A real winner!
