D200 JPEG conversion
« on: January 27, 2010, 07:28:51 am »

A weird thing,

Nikon D200 latest firmware ..

Shooting with JPEG Fine (no compression, Normal optimisation, highest quality etc) - at 1/3 sec and ISO400, there are 5 or so hot pixels present, showing up as colored dots, red, green, white etc.

ISO 100 no problem at 1/3 sec.

However when shooting RAW, no problem occurs even at same ISO400 as above.

So, any ideas what the issue is here? JPEG conversion at medium ISO shows up colored dots, RAW is fine (converted from ACR).

Thank you.

ACR automatically maps out hot pixels.
