Time-laps with Mamiya ZD/AFD using locked-down cable
« on: January 22, 2010, 03:02:02 pm »

Hi all

Just purchase this cable RE401

As I undestood from here , when putting the camera in timer mode and the cable shutter is locked, it will shoot in intervals.

"Time-lapse photography is possible by using a locked-down cable release in the "C" (continuous advance) motor drive mode. Intervals are set between 2 and 60 sec. using the self-timer."

Its working, but only for the AFD, cause it can be set to "C" mode and in timer in the same time. In the ZD its the same state chooser, so its timer or "C".

Any Idea how It can be done for the ZD?

Thanks,

Ady.

* btw, for those who wonder, its for self portrait, not heavy load of time laps.
