What focal length for panorama
« Reply #40 on: January 17, 2010, 01:04:37 pm »

I have recently become a fan of using the shift on my 45 t/s lens for panos.  Obviously limited to 3 frames, but you don't really need to worry about nodal points and critical leveling.  And the tilt can be used to increase depth of field.  It works well in both the vertical and horizontal orientation.  For those images that don't have to be really wide it really is a terrific lens.  And of course it still could be used without the shift as a standard lens.
