I just installed a new Colormunki Photo with Vers. 1.1.1 software, and have a few questions:
(1) Is the spot color function active/accurate for a color patch on a display? It would seem not, if for no other reason than the software turns on a light source in this mode to illuminate the reflective medium. On the other hand, the same physical setting on the device used for reflective spot color reading is also used for the monitor profiling function; so the device itself is undoubtedly capable of reading emissive spot color.
(2) If reading emissive spot color is possible with the Munki, could a Munki-generated printer profile be improved by using the "Optimize" function to read Colorchecker patches?
(Probably silly questions from a newbie at custom printer profiling.)
Thank you!
