How about Hasselblad CF-MS back live view?
« on: January 03, 2010, 11:10:12 pm »

Hi. I'm P45H user and I'm plan to change to CF-39MS. (not CF II version)

What's difference about CF and CF II ?

according to CF back brochure, It can live view with thetered.

How about live view quality? I'm plan to use my sinaron digital lenses with sinar X body.

focusing easy? I've used leaf DCB II live. I remember It has very difficult focusing.

I think after focusing with live view, It may be have some noises because of hot tempearature CCD.

and CF-39MS vs P45.... How about your think?

Happy New Year!

Hi there,

Happy new year to you.

Just a quick one, have you considered the Leaf Aptus II family. Live video (in b/w and colour) is far and away the best in class. Definitely worth testing before you buy. We had a client shooting similar products who tested Phase v Leaf and found that the Leaf back handled chromes and metalics far better. I have the raw files if you are interested.

good luck

I don't use live view that often so I cannot say much about it. It is in B&W and the times I have used it it was good enough to focus. Don't expect DSLR like live view.

CF39MS vs P45? In MS mode the CF will wipe the floor with the P45. In single shot mode I am pretty sure both will be pretty similar. I think most people have no idea how multishot files differer from single shot.It is in a completely different league.

Hi Chiek,

The difference is the the TFT screen on the CF is 2.25" and the CFII is 2.5".
The tactile feel of the Menu buttons on the digital magazine has changed (improved), more postive feeling.

It also gives different sounds while shooting  (I have a CFII & a CFI)

I just tried live view with my H body. Works like a charm. B&W view, remote focussing and cristal clear vision to establish perfect focus.

It still has a fan. I think you mean the H3DII which has a different cooling system. I have never had any problem with the fan based cooling of the CF, neither the I nor the II version. I often have it working days long.
