ZE lens and focus confirmation
« on: January 02, 2010, 01:21:11 pm »

I can't find a way to have the focus confirmation working with a zeiss 50 1,4 ZE (second hand) and my canon 5D mark II and Eg-S focussing screen.
Maybe it's just a fonction somewhere in the menu ?

any idea ?

thanks

i've fixed it by "reformating" all the camera fonctions !
maybe a bug after the firmware update ?
now it's ok !

I own a 50 ZE f:1.4, and it is my favorite lens. I shoot primarily landscape/cityscape, and some portrait, and it is my go-to walkabout lens. Not expensive by Zeiss standards, light and unobrusive. It has one weakness, up close and wide open, for which it is clearly not optimized. But everything else is a delight. Colours, contrast, 3D are all world-class. Of course, being an MF lens, shooting moving targets is not on the menu...
