OK, my title is cheeky, but seriously, a D3 with the AA service done will give you sharper pictures at the expense of higher risk of moire on certain subject matter. If you have always wanted to try this but could never push yourself to mod a new camera, let me help you out--it's already done! I shoot 90 percent wide angles on this body, for which the hot rod mod is perfect. It is not the right choice for 3/4 length portraits due to fabric moire risk... but even then, not that much of a risk: I have a noticeable moire about once every 1,500 shots, in my experience. YMMV.
