Baseline exposure offset for Canon 5d in CR?
« on: December 10, 2009, 01:19:49 am »

A while back I was given a figure of -.35 exposure compensation for a Canon 1DS III in ACR. Now a friend wants to know if that is the same compensation for a 5D or is there another number for that camera. And, am I correct in assuming that the same numbers would be used in LR for these cameras images.
Thanks again

It is +0.25, except with ISO 50, then it is -0.75 (because there is no ISO 50, it is an overexposed ISO 100, and ACR compensates for the overexposure).
This is the same adjustment used in LR, ACR and the DNG converter.

Thank you Gabor. So, as before, I would dial in -.25 in LR and create a preset for that with all sliders zeroed.

Right, and never use ISO 50 with raw.
