« on: December 04, 2009, 05:44:07 pm »

anyone know if sound-reducing camera blimps are available for MF bodies - like Mamiya 645 or Hassy types?
need to get quieter for an upcoming task.

A Cambo Compact or Alpa Travel Camera use large format lenses (no mirror or other moving parts), the sound of which is very quiet.

Not sure what your application is, but for some specific applications this would be a solution.

no, it needs be AF, so a blimped Phamiya it must be.
it is one reason I am considering a Leica S2, maybe with DSLR muzzle kit. much quieter.

I love those Cambo/Alpa cameras, but they just too slow in use for this.

I would call Lens & Repro in New York.  If one is made, they will know about it.
