Boston, MA, photo group
« on: November 27, 2009, 04:29:42 pm »

Hi all,

Since the mid-1960s I have been a member of an informal group of serious (but not necessarily professional) photographers who get together several times a year to discuss and critique each others’ work.
The group first met in 1966 following a workshop at Minor White’s house in Arlington, MA. I am the only current member who studied with Minor.

Current members’ interests include landscapes and abstract images, but past members have included photojournalists, street photographers, and specialists in still life.
Meetings are generally held on weekday evenings from 7:15 to about 9:30. We try to keep technical chat to the “social hour” from 7:15 to 8:00 and then focus on content. We often have one or two guests and some guests eventually become regular members. Members and guests each generally show from 3 to about a dozen prints.

If you live in the Greater Boston area and think you might be interested in visiting, please send me a PM with any questions you may have and I’ll provide more information.
Regards,

Eric M.

[Just edited to change "1060s" to "1960s." I may be old, but I'm not that old.]
