Epson 3800: Too many print profiles
« on: November 12, 2009, 11:58:03 am »

Generally with CS4 I print using a few 3800 specific profiles, but when I try to select them in the Print Dialog box, I get a gigantic list of profiles like SDTV NTSC, SDTV PAL, wsRGB, Agfa Swop Standard, a large set of KODAK and Light GCR profiles, EPSON Perfection 1650, Microtek profiles. My list must be almost 100 items or more. Is there any way to off load them from CS4? I've not found it yet.

Windows go to "c:\windows\sytem32\spool\drivers\color" and delete the profiles you don"t use.
Not sure on a Mac.

I was too hasty. I moved all the icm profiles; but that didn't get rid of all of them. I did move some ICC files I found in /common/Adobe/Color/Profiles, but, I have a slew of Microtek profiles, HDTV etc., yet GoogleDesktop can't find anything that resembles a Microtek profile and I don't find Microtek anywhere on the system any more.
