Land-O-Lakes florida at Thanksgiving
« on: November 12, 2009, 06:51:56 am »

Will be traveling to Land-O-Lakes Florida over Thanksgiving. Looking for unique areas to get out and burn off the Turkey Comma. I will be north of Tampa, Fla and over toward Clearwater some time. Very early riser so being somewhere early is a real possibility.

Well I'm glad to report that one of the best places there for wild life photography is called Lettuce Lake Park. It is wonderful. There are wood boardwalks to keep you up out of the swamps. There are wonderful variety of birds there and you can take your time and wonder about. There is also a 3 story observation tower on the boardwalk to get you way up to see for some distance.

Cost $ 2.00 per car load. Will post some photos from the M8.2 soon. All were mostly shot with a 35mm or 90mm lens.

Are you allowed to leave the boardwalks?  (I like standing behind a tripod thigh-high in swamp water.)

I look forward to your photos, that's only a half day drive for me.

A real Swamp Romp!
I believe at the head of the trials it asks you to say on the board walks, but I did see some other trails, but mostly on the boardwalk.

I get down there a few times a year to see family. Where so you live?
