D3x Capture One tethereing.
« on: November 11, 2009, 02:03:01 pm »

I'm posting here as I'm guessing there will be a higher number of C1 users.

Tethering the D3x to capture one is slow and the connection is unstable (compared to my 5D mkII). Is there something I can change in the D3x settings to make it faster (the comm. protocol or something?)

Something seems to go into sleep mode if I don't shoot for a couple of minutes, this causes C1 to crash when I pick up the camera again and start shooting (camera is on all the time.)

Images are sometimes corrupted, they end up not functioning properly in bridge, but will process in C1 (thought with many crashes along the way.) Also image naming is a nightmare, when I tell C1 to use a five digit counter, it sometimes resets after the mysterious disconnections, and sometimes not. Making images have the same filename plus a (1) or (2) etc. behind it.

Tried deleting pref. files, tried clean install, tried changing USB cables. Checked mini-usb port on camera. Still same. Canon works like a charm, both fast and stable if i disconnect and reconnect.

Many thanks for any insight.
