Dpreview gives a dSLR a "highly recommended" rating, news at 11!
Not to say the 7D doesn't sound like a highly desirable dSLR - it seems that Canon is really taking the gloves off even with the threat of cannibalizing its own product range. This means cheaper and better cameras for us!
This looks like a truly pro-grade crop-frame DSLR ... from resolution, to low light ISO, to weather sealing, to build quality, to customizable functionality ... all at (yes) a very reasonable price.
Now I just have to have to be a good boy from now until Christmas
