Is Zork Adapters still in Business?
« on: October 31, 2009, 12:36:38 am »

I have emailed the zork adapters company twice to their US location and once to their European address.  I am trying to order a couple of adapters but I have had no replies.

Are they still in business?  I guess I will try following up with a phone call, but you think they would be open to email.

Have you received any products from them lately?  Thanks for any help.

I bought my last shift-adapter (pentax67 to mamiya645) about half a year ago from mr. zörkendorfer.  it is realy a one man operation and not much of a modern one in a sense that he doesnt always reply to emails . also he is not the youngest and always seem to be very busy with his latest inventions. but if you phone him (not sure how good your german is?) you might not get of the phone for the next hour or so.  for my last shift-adapter I had to wait nearly a year till he decided to built a few of the pentax-mamiya ones. I also use a pentax645 to canon and a mamiya to canon shift adapter. I couldn´t possibly do my work (architecture, interior and furniture) without his adapters. they are the technical heart of my business -  well made and reliable and allow you - for example - to use the pentax 67 lenses (which are good and cheap) as shift-lenses on a mamiya body.
If you need help on the language side of ordering your adapter, let me know if I can help you.

In the US you can just call them and place an order. Email takes them a while.

Stefan,

I will give them a call in the US and try to place an order.  I'll keep the group updated.  If no luck then I will let you know.  Thanks much to you both for your help.

Robb

I got in touch with the US group of Zork fairly quickly when I picked up the phone.  They are behind on answering their emails.

Unfortunately, the adapter I was looking for (which was advertised on their site) a Mamiya 645 lens to Contax 645 body is no longer being made and they have sold all of the ones they made.

Disappointing.  I will try S.K. Grimes to see what they can do.
