C1 - interesting behaviour related to sharpening
« on: October 30, 2009, 11:23:35 am »

I am using the latest version 4 of C1 on my (G5-based) PowerMac.

One observation I find interesting and I would like to ask for your feedback:

When I bring up an image in the viewer, it looks for a second or so nicely sharp, but then a very slight blur kicks in as the permanent appearance in the viewer.

Do you observe the same effect?
I am asking since this short "sharper" view looks better than the permanent one.

C1 4 is not supported on Power PCs. Strange things like this should be expected.

Indeed, Steve Hendrix is saying he's seeing the same thing on an Intel.

I've seen that once - with unsupported DNG files.
First after re-conversion with the DNG-converter the problem was gone (but they showed up in the softer way).
