alternative to Kino Flos
« on: October 30, 2009, 10:52:26 am »

has anyone tried these? ; http://www.coollights.biz/cl655p-cool-ligh...light-p-68.html

a normal kino flo 4 ft bank outputs 320 watts but these guys biggest bank outputs 220 wattts or close to it, that is a downfall but may be ok since the price is right. other than that has anyone used these or have anything good/bad to say about them?

is there another company making cheaper kino flo style lighting? I have some home made kinos that work ok but they are a pain in the ass.

I have a bunch of coollights products... I love the 150cdm HMI fresnels and their 2, 4, & 6 bank flos are very well built.

Best bang for the buck out there. And Richard's a great guy as well....

A rental house gave me a cool lights 4 bank instead of a Kino 4 bank.  I thought it was built better than the Kino 4 bank, at least the actual bank.  Not sure about the ballast quality, but it worked fine.  I would use them again.
