Alpa Lens Correction Software
« on: October 24, 2009, 10:09:13 pm »

Alpa yesterday released their new lens correction software.  A nice idea however I'd rarely need it except for the 23HR.  The Schneiders are so good already.  Maybe one out of a hundred might need an adjustment.
Check it out..

Sounds very interesting indeed. Even more so if that one shot out of hundred is the one....
Has anyone already experience with it?

I have used it for a couple of weeks now - in short: it works!

used PT-lens before, now I only use the Alpa LC - it's way easier to use, as soon as movement is involved.

to make things simple on location, I have made small cards with big numbers on, kept together with a key-ring, that I include in an exposure for remembering the amount of shift - I hold the card in the direction of the shift.
