I'm just re-installing all my programs after a clean install of win 7. I'll be putting Lightroom and CS4 on my machine very shortly.
The machine has 2 internal HDDs, both 7200RPM Seagate Barracudas. I do not wish to add any HDDs at this point in time.
The C drive with windows on it is 150GB.
The D drive with my LR library on it is 1TB.
I back my D drive up to an external HDD.
My question is, where should I install LR and PS4? I'm aware that both programs use cache files in the event of memory running low. With 8gb RAM in 64bit mode this can happen. Can someone please advise where I should locate the programs and where I should locate the cache files for best performance?
