« on: October 24, 2009, 10:52:26 am »

I am printing some backlit film prints at the moment, on an ilford film

I installed ilfords profile which came from their website by right clicking and chosing instal profile

but in both illustrator and photoshop it doesnt appear as a profile to choose from

have tried restarting etc, made sure i installed it with neither app open, has anyone come across this before??

You don't mention the version of Windows - in XP check to see that the profile is in the color folder. The path is C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color. Also, make certain that the file has an extension (either *.icc or *.icm).

In Photoshop  - I am using cs3 - Colour Settings - do you see more more options? If so click on it and you get fewer options and more settings show up?

In Lightroom, when you click on "more options" you get all of the profiles installed on the computer.  There are check boxes to select the ones you want to show up as options when you print.  Don't remember how Photoshop works, but suspect it might be similar.
