The middle palais was raised 1676. It is part of the baroque architecture of the region.
I shot this series one month ago when it still was warm.

I think I missed a shot wich shows more of the surrounding and with a real perspective. Not sure about the serie, what do you think?

I like your serie very much. The light is good. The "detail" shots give a more intimate look and you're probably right... an additional photo that would put the castle in the local landscape would have been nice.

Thank you for your impression Francois. Elsewhere I got the suggestion for a different crop of #4. It is not square anymore but I think it fits the subject better.

Christian,
The rectangular crop is indeed better. It frames the vertical shape of the statue in a more dynamic way. The only downside is that your serie is not "square" anymore but I really don't think that it's a negative point!

For the serie I keep it square I guess.

I agree but your images are also very nice even as individual photos.

Lovely light. I think the third is the most interesting.

Perfect timing on #4, and it's pretty funny- love it!

Yes, the light makes all the difference. And the gargoyle stands nicely in the third image.

Thank you  all for your comments.

I figure now, I probably could have captured 10 or 15 more detail shots, plus the surroundings.
