How to resolve color shift
« on: October 16, 2009, 10:38:59 am »

I did a series of print studies of a forest scene using HP Premium Instant Dry Satin on my Z3100. Got the results as I wanted.

The predominant color was roughly forest green.

I then switched to Hahnemuhle photo rag satin, set it per HP recommendations (HP Fine Art Pearl (less ink) ran the Z3100 and paper through the HP’s calibration process.

After that, my test prints show the predominant color has shifted towards olive green.

I can change the hues to mostly resolve this but am wondering if something else might be influencing the results…………

Any suggestions?

TIA

D’oh!

When I changed to the new paper, while I made all the needed updates in the HP Printer non-utility, I neglected to change the paper type under Properties in the Print menu. It was still on.........

.............wait for it.............

.........HP Premium Instant Dry Satin...............

Oh well, any day where my first problem of the day is solved before 8 in the AM is a good day!
