Well I've read more than three books this year, so that's no excuse!

Imagine if all bloggers felt the same way. The internet would be a much less noisy place. Of course, PhotoshopNews isn't any old blog.

I find the lack of hearing from Schewe, Evening, et al, depressing. I used to check in on PhotoshopNews daily but, to avoid disappointment, I stopped. No appearances at NY's PhotoExpo either.

It seems our failed economy has everyone feeling off. With ad budgets cut by 40% and magazines shutting down, there's no wind in anyone's sails. Luminous Landscape is slower than ever and none of my working photographer friends have upgraded to CS4. Upgrades cost money that no one seems to have. So what news is there to talk about?

Education is crucial when all else fails. Learning something new while the chips are down is motivational and inspiring. Maybe Schewe and company will consider posting more tutorials that will help us stay in the game and keep us on our toes. Maybe some of those tutorials can be achieved in CS3. Or provide a good reason to upgrade.

Personally, I can't wait for business to turn around. Life is too short and slow growth is aging me. I miss the great teachers.

Wow, you are SERIOUSLY reading FAR too much into the fact that I'm not posting much to PSN. First off, you realize I don't get paid a dime to do so, right? I mean it has never been a money making proposition. I did it because 1) I had the time and 2) I felt like it...

Recently I've had neither the time nor the inclination to spend the considerable time and effort it takes to keep it current.

I can see why people miss the posts but I fail to understand why there's a sense of entitlement that PSN be constantly updated...there's been plenty of interesting stuff happening in the Photoshop eco-sphere but my desire to write about it has dwindled to the extent that the "usual" stories don't prompt me to do the extensive stories...which take a shyteload of time to do I might add...

So, sorry if you guys are going into PSN withdrawal but it's something that might get worse before it gets better...

Jeff,

In desperation I'm going to have to run out and buy your latest book (which I've been planning to get anyway).

I may do that. I have friends who could use it, too.

It's not just about you, dear. Unless I've misread the "about us" page, there are thirteen contributors who feel exactly as you do.

Given the way the site is presented, forgive me for not assuming it's a one man operation with an over-inflated, ghost "staff."

Mystery solved.

No sense of entitlement here. Just missing you. But it's good to know your health is OK and you're as testy as ever.

Mistybreeze you are my new idle.  That sounds creepier than the intent.
