epson 4880 black marks
« on: October 09, 2009, 10:59:28 pm »

hi all

im continuing to play with the 4880 and i tried a 13x19 Harman Photo paper today, its the crystaljet luster RC. i printed a hight key image and in the buttom of the image where there should be no ink i see a few black lines, looks like head marks.
the paper seems to be thin so i dont think its the height
here is a picture, i circled the marks in red

how can i avoid that?
i tried a different image, and still see the marks. i dont have other papers that size yet but on some samples i did with 8.5x11 i did not see any marks
thanks[attachment=17087:marks.jpg]

one more question, if its the thickness, how come the marks are only on the bottom of the paper?
