Anyone tried this new paper from Hahnemuhle yet?
FB Baryta

Looks to be a smooth glossy heavy weight version of Fine Art Baryta? - Contains OBA's

Edit - official release for this paper end of October.

Quote
extra smooth surface and ultra glossy coating.
Doesn't sound very appealing to me, but I guess it's another option for folks who like the Harman glossy baryta paper since that's pretty much how I'd describe it.

I did some testing on it. I still have some here. I also have a profile for it on a Z3200 if anyone needs it.

It is aimed at Ilford Gold Silk users. It is a wood base, and contains a lot of OBA.
Surface is quality though typically Hahnemuhle.

As with all OBA papers your display conditions will vary with the amount of UV in the source or reflections. It doesn't have any less or more than other similar papers.

It will be priced competitively against the Ilford Silk I'm told.

It beats the pants off plastic Photo papers, and the feel is quality. Prints easily, and mounts easily too. The surface is a little less fragile than PhotoRag Baryta.

It is probably a good paper for landscape or other colourful or greyscales that need contrast with a high white point and reflectance.
It also seems to be trouble free for gloss uniformity or at least on the Z printer which normally is a funky inkset.

Is the surface look similar to a smooth luster or more glossy like Harmon FB Al?
