After having a photo website 10 years ago, I've gone through the (surprising) amount of work of creating a new one.

http://wolfepackarts.com/

My preference is simple and usable, yet without feeling unfinished.  Though I've got to say, paypal makes for a great cart option!

Thanks!

I really like your site - elegant design, easy to use. Your photos are wonderful, too. The only thing that bothers me is that all the thumbnails are square, even for rectangular photos. Is there some way around this?

Also, there's no link for About.

Nice work!

Very nice. I like SimpleViewer.

Thanks for the feedback - I'd gotten used to the square thumbnails, but you're right - that's odd looking.  Will be fixing that.

You may want to check out my comments on another site regarding navigation:

http://luminous-landscape.com/forum/index....showtopic=38069

In addition,

Home page:

- Positioning the portfolio images horizontally instead of vertically will get rid of the huge empty space at the right, and eliminate (or minimize) the need to scroll. Same comment for the Purchase Prints page.

- Portfolio names like #11 and #4 make me wonder what happen to the others.

- I dislike the blindingly blue borders around the images. I also don't think tuning the blue borders into purple as viewed indicator useful.

- I feel your STRONG desire to sell: there are three links about sales.

- But there is no link for About.

Portfolios:

- Like others, I dislike square thumbnails.

- Missing information: number of image in each portfolio, numbering of each image, caption/title.

My $.02:
I agree with the suggestion to use more of the width of the home page in displaying your gallery thumbnails, unless you intend to have an initial image there.
I'd appreciate a home button or navigation link to avoid having to use the back button from your individual galleries.
You have a typo, when you say "on part with silver gelatin" instead of "on par".
I thought that your "A word about terms" link was related to payment terms.  I'd suggest using the word terminology for a little more clarity.
Otherwise, nice site and photos.

Thanks for the feedback!

Blinding blue link borders - Internet Exporer vs. Firefox thing - should now be fixed

Horizontal Gallery Layout - Not a bad idea.  It's on the list for the next rollout.

Square Thumbs, No back button, no titles or captions - all limitations of using the free version of simpleviewer.  I've now purchased the pro version (source code) and will be adding the above feature.

"A word about terms" - I see the ambiguity now.  I'll change the wording.

I'll then use the top banner as a fixed navigation method throughout the site.

Thanks for catching "on part with" typo.

Thanks for the clarity everyone.
