Hi all,
the 'counting' (or measurement) of ink drops has usually been accurate enough, and a 5% warning for me was enough to get another cartidge ready. When a cartridge was run down and stopped the printing process, I would replaced a new one and the print would continue without leave any marks.
Unfortunately for me, I bought and used my 3800 for the last two years and I am using the current 4th magenta cartridge, but have run all my previous (magenta only) cartridges completely dry. The rest of the warnings for the other colours are normal. I've tried what the problem was, but I couldn't see, know or discuss anything else about the same experience. If anyone can suggest any ideas, I would appreciate your experience.
When I couldn't stop or change the problem, if I didn't rush and overheat the head, the pump/suction process would fill and allow the magenta line after a few, slow, head cleans. I've stopped worrying about the failure as the rest of it works, so I left it alone. Regards,
Gary.
