I have CG243W as well and I had to put the second display away as it had quite different spectrum of white compared to the new CG. When they were sitting one next to the other, the EIZO looked as having red tint and the other one a green one - very uncomfortable, at least for me. I have measured spectrum of the white of both (when calibrated to D50) and it was indeed quite different. Not sure if it is caused by different spikes of the CFL tubes or different primaries, maybe bit of both together.
So my bet would be to get EIZO Flexscan with the same panel as second display.
actually the NEC looks fine beside the Eizo and the Eizo is really perfect
