Stitching is fun and all, but I'd prefer to go back to just seeing and shooting.
This is true. It takes me longer to get a shot now with my dslr than it does to set up my 4x5 camera and take a shot and the stitching afterwards is a pain too. It is much easier to actually see and compose what you are shooting too without the element of guesswork on how well the composition will work out.
